Selamat Hari Pekerja

Assalamualaikum dan salam sejahtera. Salam 8 ramadan.

Selamat menyambut Hari Pekerja 2020 kepada semua rakyat Malaysia. Ingatlah bahawa kerja juga merupakan satu ibadah. Justeru, sama-samalah kita meningkatkan kualiti kerja supaya ianya dapat menjadi saham akhirat kita kelak, InsyaAllah. Doakan juga keselamatan frontliners kita.

As the saying goes "A goal without a plan is just a wish". I'm sure all of us have our own goals that we want to achieve. However, to achieve such goals, we must have a solid plan.

Take a look at this simple example. Let's say that your goal is to woke at 4:30 am for sahur. However, without proper planning such as going to bed early and setting your alarm clock, chances are you will miss your sahur.

How small or big your goals are, everything needs planning. Thus, plan frequently and wisely. Make sure your plan is supported with your effort.

Minggu lepas, ada followers bagitahu saya yang staf dia selalu salah gunakan perkataan "Accept" dan "Except". Jadi minggu ini, saya buat contoh ayat menggunakan "Accept" dan "Except".

Except bermaksud Kecuali. Contoh ayat ialah "Everyone in the class has passed the exam EXCEPT Ali." (Satu kelas lulus peperiksaan tersebut KECUALI Ali.)

Accept pula bermaksud Terima. Contoh ayat ialah "I ACCEPT your offer." (Saya TERIMA tawaran anda.)

When we talk about success, most of us will think it is bestowed upon someone who is lucky, someone who is born rich and have a multiple connections.

While in some cases, it is definitely true, however, a lot of successful people build their success from nothing using this formula of "Success = skill + knowledge + effort".

Take Oprah Winfrey for example, she was born into an extremely poor family in rural Mississippi and suffered countless tragedies while she was a young girl.

However, she never used this as a reason to give up. She successfully snagged a scholarship to Tennessee State University, and at the age of 19, she was the first Black television correspondent in United States.

In 1986, she finally hosted her own show called The Oprah Winfrey Show. The rest is history. Through this show, she became a millionaire by 32, and her success inspired people around the world.

The moral of the story is, everyone can build their own success using this formula, "Success = skill + knowledge + effort". Try it yourself, and let success came your way.

Weak bermaksud lemah.

Contoh ayat ialah "My knees feel WEAK after every workout." (Lutut saya berasa LEMAH selepas setiap senaman.)

Week pula bermaksud minggu

Contoh ayat ialah "We have a public holiday next WEEK." (Kita ada satu cuti umum MINGGU depan.)

In working environment, we all have our own selfishness, such as asking your coworker to do your paperwork, choosing your friends only as group members for a project and refusing to hear someone else's idea.

This selfish attitude will most definitely hinder your promotion to managerial position.

Even if you did, you cannot be an effective leader to your organization if you could not adjust yourself to working with someone else, do not have an open mind and worst of all, using people at your disposal.

Thus, when you feel like doing any of the above, remind yourself that the world, the sun and the universe do not revolve around you. The sooner you realize this, the faster you will achieve success.
